Practising with official papers is the most reliable way to prepare for the HBSE Class 12 (Senior Secondary) board exam. This page lists the official practice material HBSE publishes.
Official papers from HBSE
- Old question papers (Secondary and Sr. Secondary sections)
- Model papers and stepwise marking scheme
- Competency-based item question booklets
All of these are linked from the BSEH Academic Cell.
How to use previous and sample papers
- Start with the latest sample or model paper. It shows the current question pattern.
- Solve it in the actual exam time, without notes.
- Check your answers against the official marking scheme where HBSE provides one.
- Then work through older papers topic by topic to find weak areas.
Common problems
- Papers from unofficial sites. They may be incomplete or wrong. Prefer the official collections above.
- Pattern has changed. Older papers may follow a different design. Use them for practice, but follow the latest sample paper and syllabus for the format.
- Answers not available. Not every paper comes with solutions. Ask your teachers to check your answers.
